Doctor, 26, Dies By Suicide In Maharashtra, Blames Husband In Note: Cops

A 26-year-old newly married physician allegedly dedicated suicide after dealing with harassment from her husband in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar metropolis, police mentioned on Tuesday.

The physician, Pratiksha Bhusare, who received married 5 months in the past and lately joined one of many main personal hospitals in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar as a medical officer, hanged herself to a ceiling fan in her dwelling on Sunday, a police official mentioned.

She left behind a seven-page notice accusing her husband of harassment and blaming him for the acute step, he mentioned.

An FIR was registered on the Cidco police station towards the suspect husband for dowry demise and abetment to suicide on a criticism of the physician’s household, the official mentioned.

“The seven-page suicide notice provides particulars in regards to the harassment she confronted from her husband as he questioned her character and checked her telephone name information and messages. The couple received married on March 27 this 12 months,” he mentioned.

The lady’s father alleged the husband, who did his MBBS from Russia, needed to arrange his hospital and was repeatedly pressuring his daughter to get cash from mother and father, the official added.
